Our goal is to achieve the Stop Step Company Vision, which was established in 1993. The vision embodies our commitment to creating value by developing innovative solutions in the areas of food, and then pharmaceuticals. In 1998, we finally moved from food to delivering pharmaceutical services and expanded our national presence by taking "Contribute to the Country through the provision of affordable quality medication", which is one of our founding spirits, as our starting point. We will also integrate new technologies and knowledge that we have accumulated over our past years of experience. To fulfill this goal, we have established branches across the country with various targets and measures, and we are continuously working towards achieving them.
In 2009, we introduced the company’s slogan, We treat but God heals to better promote our national presence. With an increase in the demand for healthcare, acquiring quality services, and different specialties of areas of disease, we launched a project to build our first health facility. Which birthed Medicare Clinic in The Gambia in 2014. In addition to providing healthcare services, our slogan now better conveys the company’s management direction of offering products and services that helped address some of the national health problems, with a focus on "healthy living" as the main theme.
As part of our social responsibilities in supporting the community, a charitable foundation (We Care 4 You Foundation) was launched to help and offer assistance to the less privileged who cannot afford quality healthcare (Surgeries, Antenatal care, Autism care support, etc). The foundation also supports domestic educational and financial aid.
We are pleased to share that many of those who benefited from the services our foundation render appreciate the support which played a significant role in changing their lives and creating value for our foundation.
Moving forward, we will continue to create new value, keeping in mind that our company’s slogan is not just a statement of intent or catchphrase, but a representation of Stop Step Pharmaceutical, Medicare clinic & We Care 4 You Foundation’s unique value for wellness that only we can provide.
In our 2023 expansion projects, one of our main targets is to build a standard and well-equipped hospital that will serve as a referral centre for specialized and critical medical cases. This new hospital project will accommodate more than 150 beds with modern advanced medical equipment in various departments and also connect patients to consultants from different parts of the world.
We firmly believe that Stop Step Trading’s focus on health not only meets the growing demand for health-conscious products and services but is also vital in addressing social issues such as Healthcare disparities and compassion and empathy.
